sorry you found this pure gem too late.
stone arch fisheries have the lease now.
i have spent many an eve/ early moring over the years there, but iv only ever seen one other angler there in the years iv been !
shame we lost it but as others have said for me its just too far to travel every weekend.
but what a treat when i did go smiling

i find single hook better also. and as lee said roach very good, small bait better for zeds .
3 to 4 inch dead bait seems to work good on lakes and pools,

anyone remember when baa had larford lake ? that was super gin clear thou never did much cop for big tench... but the big bream made up for that.
having a gravel pit down cotswold would be great
or some of the cheshire meres .
but its ok for those who can travel or have access to car etc.
and £40 per year may not cut the cost involved.
i pay £120 per season for a lake with big tench and bream and thats cheap !
so if we had a new tench water. would people pay big money to fish it ? would you want night tickets ?

mythe is known for its big tench. keep it simple. fish over ten are very rare,,,,, but yes they are in there. smiling and i would say mythe over walcott any day . iv fished both for years,
