Hard going again on the Severn for some reason, ok some of the lads were on holiday but experienced river anglers struggled for bites. Small roach, perch and chub made up the weights.

1st Kevin Clarke 4 - 11 - 0

2nd Gary Weaver 4 - 8 - 0

3rd Malcolm Merrick 3 - 0 - 0

4th Lawrie Mulheron 2 - 14 - 0

Ollie , Your right it was hard going . they are poor weights from Grimley.
But weve all had days like that.. the thing to remember is if ALL your match anglers are struggling , then its not the anglers its the conditions on the day..
I recall a match our club fished 3 years ago on the staffs & worcs cut and after 5 hours not only was not 1 fish caught but not 1 single bite was had between 16 of us ....All with 40 plus years experience. Unbelievable i know ..
But well done anyway for sticking it out and thanks for posting your results ..

Hi Ollie,
Thanks for posting your result and yes bin I agree, sometimes it is a struggle.

I was out with my brother in law at Severn Stoke on Saturday.
We both struggled, however there were some sizeable marauding Pike in the margins which put paid to any float fishing.

So it was on with the
Cage-feeder with liquidised bread which did eventually bring me
2 Skimmers, one on worm and caster, one on bread, 2 Perch on worm with Red maggot and a Rudd on Red maggot.

The blustery wind was a nuisance, but good to be on the bankside.

Keep on Fishing…
