What a lovely sight to see four pristine River Bream caught by Ben Keen from the Avon at Eckington. See the attached images from the home page Fish of the week!

As Ben says, he and his mate had to “find and cut out a pitch to fish” but to his and his mate’s delight they found plenty of fish ready to feed!

Apart from the four cracking Bream they also had Barbel of 8lb and 3lb, a Tench of 3lb and a net full of Silvers!

I went to Eckington last week. Fished a groundbait feeder with worm on the hook. Had only 8 bites in 4 hours, 3 of which were bream around 7lb each.

Well done Mork on your catch of quality River Bream.
They made you wait for your bites!

I was out at Charlton on Monday in the heatwave and I could not buy a Bream on the feeder but thankfully the Perch and Chubletts made up for it.

I really hope that the forecasted rain comes and refreshes the rivers because it is low and slow at the moment.
