Re: easy access river

thanks Kingfisher, thanks for the advice, walking a bit of distance is fine it is just him getting up and down banks that would be the problem. i've had a look before and i was thinking Ribbesford or blackrock. The other was eardington brook section because this is where i fish regularly although to get to the brook section it can be pretty hard to get to if we have had some wet weather. i was wondering if there is an easier way to get there as i always see people walking down stream when they have finished for the day? also any particular peg/section on Ribbesford you would recommend?

easy access river

Hi i'm planning to take my dad down the severn next week, can you guys suggest any particularly accessible places where to go maybe? he has bad knees and is quite an old chap so it can be a bit treacherous for him going up and down steep banks. failing that any other rivers that you could suggest would be great.

apperley lakes

hi, happy new to you all. I normally fish down eardington but seeing as the severn is in flood and probably going to be that way for quite some time i was thinking of doing a bit of puddle chucking. i was thinking of apperley lakes. Anyone got any info on this? is it worth making a trip down there or is there a better pool that the baa have thats worth visiting? any info what so ever would be great.

Re: Walcot east lake

Such ashame was really looking forward to catching some tench there. Completely agree with you there jfreeman, what's the point of having a lake if it's relatively unfishable sound like it could be a lovely lake if the baa took care of it. Maybe not completely cleaning it out but at least raking the swims to a certain degree
