Safe to park by the old leisure centre. Had a walk down there today there are a couple of good pegs open and talking to a couple of the guys fishing a few nice bream and roach coming out. Take a stick or pole if you want to open up some of the pegs as they are really over grown.

Took a walk down Newhalls Meadows the weekend someone has pulled the BAA signs down and thrown them in the bushes.

Don't give up on Newhalls as Stuart says check out the map you just need to walk down the river a little further. I fished this stretch the week end with my 11 year old son. We ain't no experts we swim feed ground bait and red maggots and had several nice bream, roach and some very large perch.
The more members that use this stretch.will help keep the shrubs at bay, there are some really nice pegs that are open and accessible. I often walk down this stretch of river and make an effort to trample some of the weeds down to keep pegs open.

Hi
Any further updates on Newhalls Meadow, did the second phase of tree cutting take place. There was also talk of putting in some new wooden pegs. Anyone been down there lately. I was down there a few months ago although a large amount of trees have been cut done there was quite a few smaller branches in the water snagging the pegs up.
Would be great to see this stretch of pegs back to its former glory and ready for the new season.
