Re: Raw Meat

Yes you can use raw meat on BAA venues .. but I'm confused on why you would want too ???
I'm always willing to learn a tip or 3........ what river was you thinking and what fish would you be targeting ...
if you dont mind sharing ..

Re: EVESHAM FESTIVAL

I was waiting for that ..iv already seen that YouTube post and read all the comments.. And the short answer to that is NO, under normal circumstances that would not be allowed.
However , like i said rules can be amended prior to any match on the given day.(i wasn't in the draw tent at the time so im only guessing, but maybe only maybe the 1 meter wading rule was dropped due to the river being low and clear. just a thought )..
i do know this though... on the day there was 86 other professional anglers ,,25 marshals and over 1,000 spectators.. if he had infringed the rules in anyway it would would of been officially noted within 2 hours post match. As this didn't happen I'm thinking he didn't break any rules..
This is just my thoughts im only guessing..

Re: EVESHAM FESTIVAL

oh sorry i misunderstood the question.. i carnt put a link up as im not that good on a computer..( if my kids pop round ill get them to do it ).. but what you want i think is a list of national course fishing match rules .. well , in the past there were two.. 1 was like you said the NFA & the other was the AT (angling trust) these rules were pretty much identical other than a couple of items.
The NFA were took over by the AT back in the 2008/9 i think , so now there is only 1 national set of rules, however the organizers can amend these rules as they see fit prior to any upcoming matches ..usually just a variation of baits allowed of fish allowed, as the basic rules hardly ever change.. the BAA rules on this web site are a really good benchmark to match etiquette.
For these qualifiers in particular a good place to start would be either the Evesham Festival website OR the Hampton Ferry website..The organizer is Diana Raphale and her contact details are on both them sites, Email and phone .. she will gladly send you a list of upcoming qualifiers and rules and regulations.. but basically they will be AT rules ..

Re: EVESHAM FESTIVAL

The rules for the matches are pretty much the same as any match really. only one rod at a time feeder , float , or pole .. they have full use of the river far bank included. you must remain in your peg at all times except the call of nature.. you must land your own fish .you can plumb up before the whistle or even throw a ledger in to test depths,, flow ,, snags ,,ect (not a swimfeeder)..and no artificial baits but all the usual baits are allowed in any quantity . maggots, worms , groundbait, hemp ,casters .. the only difference this year is they put a ban on bloodworm and joker..all the previous years the first and second day sat/sun for the individual matches bloodworm and joker were allowed...and the overall weights reflected that..however my mate James Robbins had a great weekend. he won the Saturday match netting him a cool £2,500. he was second in his section on the Sunday and Monday his team the cadence super team won the team event.. the Cadence tent was next to ours and when he came back on Monday night with a well earnt pint in his hand the smile on his face was a picture..well done to him.....
A lovely chap always good for a chat..
