Re: Trimpley

My mate is a bailiff around the Bridgenorth area and he has posted videos on his Facebook of barbell spawning last week during the warmer periods. Said they were showing signs of spawning for 4 consecutive days.

Great News!!!

Due to the postponement of all football the government have decided to lift the ban on river fishing just so us blokes have something to do over the weekend.

Re: Photos by Paul Hitchman and others

To be honest, this forum is probably the worst on the net for advice, photos or general fishing chat. You only have to look at some of the topics and questions asked. Probably 500 views for maybe one response.

Re: River Wye new Salmon fishing by laws

Never caught a salmon in my life, or actually fished for them. But if you're fishing a spinner for instance what's to say you are not after perch or pike or even chub?? If a salmon took the spinner would you be breaking the law? My mate has caught 3 salmon whilst spinning for pike on the upper Severn. The same applies to worms and prawns. Most people just use them as bait for anything that comes along. Lots of anglers use worms for barbell.........and I've had some massive perch on prawns. Its all very confusing

Fishing rights to the small Birmingham rivers

Evening everyone. Quick question that you guys might know the answers too.
There are several small rivers that run through the middle of Birmingham, The Cole, Tame and Rae and their tributaries. I know that the Tame and the Cole, although mainly shallow surprisingly contains quite a health head of fish. I was wondering if any of the members have ever fished these, or if anyone knows who owns the fishing rights to these rivers. I've walked the River Cole at Coleshill and got talking to a chap who said it was free fishing and contained chub to 3lb, perch, roach dace and some trout!!
Would love to find out more information so if anyone can help it would be appreciated
