Re: fishing

I dare say that someone would expect a discount because the floods stopped them from fishing many venues. Whatever next?

Re: Will they be there for us?

I certainly hope so. If you have been sorting and cleaning your gear as I have then instead of buying on the web save your list of requirements and then go to your local dealer when possible. Your local dealer is so important, not only for fresh bait but for current fishing information for the locality. Hope it won't be long.

Re: BAA Canals

I think you will find that its the old main line canal between Brades Road and Oldbury town centre. Towpath only one side so lots of features on far bank. Best on warm evenings when you can sometimes see carp on surface. had some good tench and bream from there. Best of luck.

Re: River Teme pike

There used to be plenty of pike in the Teme but over the last 20 years they have diminished in the same way as all the other fish. such a shame as my good friend Bob Foster and I spent many hours fishing for dace, chub, grayling, barbel and roach when it was one of the best small rivers in the country. we can only hope that it will regenerate over the next few years.

Re: Chassing a Big Perch

THERE ARE STILL SOME LARGE PERCH AT STOURPORT. ALTHOUGH NOT AS MANY AS 3 OR 4 YEARS AGO. WORM OR DROPSHOTTING ARE FAVOURITE ESPECIALLY IN THE FAIRGROUND BASIN DURING HIGH WATER LEVELS. AT LOW LEVELS TRY CLOSE IN DOWN THE SIDE.
