Re: Birds Meadow Thanks. I fished it once a few years ago and slipped a bit on wet leaves driving up out of there. I went with the intention of fishing it last week, but noticed a sign at the top of the track saying "No Access To Motors", so I parked in the garden centre car park to have a bit of a look at the track. It looked quite overgrown, so I assumed it hadn't been used much lately if at all, and I wasn't keen on brambles running down the side of the car, so disappointingly ventured up to Mythe, where I gave up after 3 hours Posted on September 10, 2019 at 8:34 AM

Re: Boy's first pike I don't have a problem with retaining barbel in Keepnets. As I 've said in another post, I peg the bottom end of keepnet upstream of me, so if there's a problem with any fish I will see it in front of me Posted on August 20, 2019 at 10:12 AM
Re: Boy's first pike But you could say the same about taking pictures, as with keepnets. How many suffer taking their pictures, not just through being kept out of the water, but by being dropped? Fish welfare is paramount what ever you do with any species. Photo it right, net it right, and there shouldn't be a problem. Posted on August 20, 2019 at 6:35 AM

I don't have a problem with retaining barbel in Keepnets. As I 've said in another post, I peg the bottom end of keepnet upstream of me, so if there's a problem with any fish I will see it in front of me
