have a good look through these forums.
lots of information about places to try.
as stewpar said middle severn possibly best best for a barbel or too. esp in summer time
winter can be hard thou few lads have had excellent bags of barbel out.
get on the banks and wet aline smiling
keep things simple my best advice.

problem at mo is high pressure. 1032mb and that`s not good. not saying you cant catch but it makes it a bit harder.
i would say try Fladbury as well known for barbel. it gets rammed in summer but not too bad in winter plus always a chub or too .
i would also used a meat bait. spam. pepperoni, meatballs. and not bother with any halibut pellets. or make a cheese paste. blue cheese tops for chub...
and as for Nafford... its always been Naff for me . iv never had anything down there but never give up smiling

i use an app called SHOOTHILL GAUGE MAP. its spot on for river levels .
also METCHECK and ACCUWEATHER for weather. both very good.
this time of year you want to watch for a nice low pressure system coming in off the Atlantic.
this will bring mild weather and thats what we like .
this weekend a mild spell and rivers are dropping. so worth a cast smiling
