Salford priors track

Has anyone managed to drive down this track?
I have a 2wheel drive duster with good ground clearance but decided not to today as I couldn’t see how deep the ruts were as they were full of water
Is it always that bad or does it get levelled from time to time
Any advice please
Roger.

Re: River Mease - Harlaston - 1 mile of water to stalk but take a machete to cut to Overgrowth

Well done Reg and thanks for taking the time for the report on this stretch of water. I would have to travel 80mile to get there and knowing a little more than what’s in the guide with up to date info on what to expect is a great help.

I really want to give the Lugg and Teme a go, which is a bit closer for me, but always shy away because of the lack of up- to-date info in the guide book and stick to more familiar stretches, I know these places will get overgrown but there’s “overgrown” and “unfishable” for a day trip

The baa works party, Spud and the gang used to do reports and photos on some stretches they used to cut back/repair which was helpful but that’s a thing of the past now me thinks…

I’ve spent a fair bit of time recovering from ops this year and unable to go fishing but next few weeks will be planning to make up for lost time…. And the more info the better
Well done Reg

Re: A new underwater feature on Stubbs Pool

3/4 of a mile walk that
I would have to take a overnight bag and a Sherpa!
Does anybody fish it? Has there been any trouble lately?
I went 2 yrs ago but the police had the access closed while recovering a 4x4, so drove on....

Re: early season bream

I’ve been told by others that it’s hard going until the water warms up, early mornings and evenings best.
I fish it for the tench but not til may/June
Sure someone else will tell you more, let us know how you get on
Good luck

Re: Apperley Pools

HaHa...
Don’t worry John, 10 min drive and 5m as the crow flies!
Anyway, I’ve got a new lawyer called Chris, only works weekends for the cost of a good pint!
Just in case that crow takes a detour!!
