Re: I reckon that's my lot.....

“Hornytoad this fish has been caught a number of times and it has even come out at 18lb. People are aware of where it was caught. So ask your self this question?
Why now has it gone public that such a fish has been caught. When all the other people that have caught it have stayed silent ?”

Unless you have been told by JC, how would you know where it was caught?
Your speculating…
If you know it’s been out a number of times and at 18lb,
Clearly nobody has stayed silent!,

err….what question do I need to ask myself!

Re: I reckon that's my lot.....

“Red Spot” shows us all what great fishing is possible on a baa card, hopefully she will still be around for a few years yet, as she is easily identified in photos the fish chasers queue up for pegs the next day!
Perhaps people don’t blab about locations (or claim records) to try stop the trophy hunters.

I think you saying “ knowing what a easy fish it is to catch” is a little bit dismissive of the time and effort some people put in.
Baldyman,
I love my barbel fishing but also enjoy other species, so before the season ends, I’m going to get out and get wet & muddy no doubt!

Re: Ripple

Had a walk along the hole stretch and all the pegs repaired with steps cut in.

Great job done by the baa team…….Thanks

Re: Stacklands help please

Thanks for the reply Neil,
A couple of months ago I asked the baa if it was possible to contact the bailiff and ask his advice and had a reply telling me to post my questions on the forum as there would be loads of help!
Good job your paying attention!!

Re: Stacklands help please

Thanks for the reply Neil,
I remember now reading your post on one of the forums and think your right saying wait for a good flush through. I’ve been watching to much of Nic (Avon angling) and getting carried away.
also waiting for a flush through to push all the good roach down to Hereford, I fancy some roach fishing as well on the town stretch when the time is right.
Trying to be more adventurous this year, not been to the river Teme yet, tried Arly left bank last month but was a bit disappointed with all the litter and line left about!
Will let you know somehow when I go to Stacklands in a few weeks time.
Hope all is well with you Neil.
Rog.
