During the war…..Montgomery said, “time spent on reconnaissance is rarely wasted”.
Having not had too many downpours lately, thought I’d have a reccy to see if the track is passable, disappointed to find it’s still deeply rutted, wet and slippery through the troughs. I have a fwd duster with good ground clearance, if you got a 4x4 no probs but a normal saloon might be worth avoiding unless you of the adventurous type!
Anyway looks a charming piece of river but the banks are steep and completely overgrown, I know it’s summer (Ha) but walked 100yds up an down but unable to get down to the water. I did find a barbecue tray and signs of a fire so someone’s had better luck than me!
It’s good to talk…
It’s good to share….
Feelin better for my moan!

Sure it’s a silly question,
but what’s the benefit over a old fashioned bait dropper?
Do you need a dedicated bopper rod or does it hook on your end tackle!
made mine out of a tuna tin!

Like meatman,
will give it a go this season, too much water to ignor.
Well done everyone for their input, feel more confident on going now.
