To the Match Secretary at the Travellers Rest Fishing Club

Thank You for this very comprehensive match report

on a poor day weather wise, you must have been pleased.
thanks for your details on the methods and baits that were successful.

Replacing Stiles with Kissing Gates during Fisheries Work Plan

Can the Fisheries Work Plan look at the replacement of Stiles to Kissing Gates to make it easier for the Members to get to the fisheries with their tackle with the minimum of strenuous effort!!

Re: Fishing Reports - Upper Severn Report is Brilliant

Hi Glen
I have only just seen your reply to my original post in praise of the Upper Severn Reports.
I agree with your comment and I am hoping that more of our Members will try to be more forthcoming with comments and photos of of the venues and their catches as we need to be more proactive. As you will see I have been quite active across the different Forums in recent months.
I have put a request on the Match Fishing Forum asking for feedback on Weights, the species caught the baits used and the methods that were productive.
As a Senior member my first visit to BAA Waters was to Ribbesford with my dad back in 1958 and a lot of water has gone under the bridges since then!

Re: Change Stiles to Kissing Gates?

Hi Kent & Stewpar
Glad to see your replies and that you are sympathetic to my original post, if you have not viewed the Kissing gate image that I posted it is of a generous size which is what our Association in collaboration with the landowners should now be putting up on the waters that we are renting or owning.
I have tried to whittle down the amount of gear that I now take with me but the stiles are a challenge even with a small trolley!

Change Stiles to Kissing Gates?

With Stiles being such an inconvenience as well as an obstruction to the anglers with trolleys can we talk with the landowners so that we can install “Kissing Gates”
I have attached a photo from an online supplier of such a product it would make access a lot easier and make the venues more appealing to visit knowing that you are less likely to get a hernia for your efforts.
