Well I fished Blackstone with my old man for the first time on Friday 7-10-16.
On arrival we were met by the bailiff and had a nice chat about the venue.
Plan of the day was to fish the float and catch a few fish. We picked a couple of pegs half way along the first meadow. I would have liked to have gone down into meadow 2 but no chance unless you have a 4x4 the track is badly cut up.
I started on the feeder so I could feed the float line, after an hour and only a couple of roach and dace on the feeder I switched to the float and it was solid with dace and roach. What a great days fishing been a while since I trotted a stick and really enjoyed it. looking forward to my next visit.

Seems to be a good year for Perch seen some big ones on the Avon at Wick as well.

Thanks for posting the results bud can I ask those fishing above the weir where did they park? By the wooden foot bridge bellow the weir? Are there anymore pegs bellow the weir as last time I fished there were only a few. Cheers all the best Dave
