Not a specimen barbel angler but if i were you i would head for the upper severn around arley and trimply areas travel light and be prepared to move around. I have a mate whos been having a few fish out roaming.

Thats the problem with the Baa mate they have so much water its impossible to keep all the fishery's in A1 condition like Fladbury. I for one would like to see the Baa get rid of some of the less fished venues and spend the money on improving the others with access and pegs. Even if that meant subs increasing to get outside contractors in every now and then to repair pegs and make platforms fish able. Do you know what Breedon is like was planning a trip in the next week or so? Below the weir at Wick there are 4 pegs 2 up towards the weir and 2 pegs down stream bellow the boats the two down stream are very safe nice and flat

Fished wick sat 6th August bellow the weir opposite the marina. The river was very low and the fishing was real hard going only managed 2/3lb of bits only 4 pegs below the weir. I
Im sure there have been matches on here this year so where is everyone fishing? above the weir? I have heard you can get access to the pegs above the weir by driving down to the end of the meadow and cutting through is this correct anyone got any information about access and quality of pegs above the weir please
