Re: BAA membership prices

Thank you for taking the time guys to share your thoughts.

I think we can safely say that should the membership costs increase by say £5 to £10 none of us would change our opinions on the unbelievable value the Baa represents. Good to hear from you guys that travel from down south to use the waters, some very good point made.

I really hope that if contractors are going to be doing the work on the clubs fishery's going forwards that our current work party lads have a big say in the work carried out. I would hate to see platforms 5ft off the water and bank sides butchered for the sake of it.

I think we would all agree our work partys do an amazing job with the number of waters the club has.

Atb Dave (any more thoughts guys please keep them coming)

BAA membership prices

Whats everyone's thoughts on membership prices generally?

I think the current adult price of £40 has been like that now for a good few years.

We have a little moan every now and again about pegs being needed and bridges that need mending along with car parks and access, just to mention a few things.

If increasing the price of membership made it easier for the club to resolve more of these issues would we all not be in favour of a slight increase?

I think we all agree the BAA is unbelievable value for money with some other clubs charging into the hundreds, and even having waiting lists to join.

Personally If the membership increased by £5 or £10 I would still join as for me that's still amazing value for money when you think most day ticket venues these days are £8 a day.

Just my thoughts putting it out for something to talk about until we can get back out on the banks. All the best Dave

Re: Decline of our River Fisheries

I only pleasure fish so as far as certain fish go I have no idea.
Most of my fishing this year has been don on the Warwickshire Avon for me its fished better than I can remember nearly every outing has produced double figures.
The Roach are absolutely everywhere and small chub are showing which Ive not seen in years along with more perch than Ive ever seen on the river.
I hope to try the severn in the coming weeks and see what thats like.
I will say the Rive Teme never seemed to make a come back after 2007 but I am hearing reports of some barbel and chub being caught.
