Re: River severn

Top end on the road section are the shallow faster pegs, as you go downstream river deepens and has a steadier pace.

Re: River Salwarpe

Just to add, at this time of year I'm sure the river gets affected by road salt off the A449 when we get rain after a cold spell, there's all ways water running in by the bridge & the colour goes awful too.

Re: River Salwarpe

I've been fishing the salwarpe on and off now for 40years,my dad learnt me to fish on this little river in the 70s, guess it's allways been a bit temperamental but can remember some really good days in the past. One thing I have noticed is that it's really silted up now compared how it used to be when the big boats used to come up out of the Severn, some pegs you'd have 10ft in the bottom meadow, can't think of any natural venues that haven't been in decline over the last few years due to cormorants, otters and poaching.

Re: River Salwarpe

Last fished it oct 2016,I had a bite a chuck on the maggot dace, roach, perch odd gudgeon but haven't fished it since, always cormorants around when I go down there so I'm guessing it's on the decline
