Good to hear pete,worrying article in this weeks Stourbridge news reports of cooking oil entering the river around cradley, the ea have been informed and the rspca say there has been some distress to wildlife.Think this was either on the Saturday or Sunday,did you notice anything when you fished?

Sorry to say, but some people don't play by the rules,loads of night fishing goes on even in the close season,

What about another stretch on the stour, only know 2 or 3 more stretches controlled by clubs etc majority of the river is unfished which seems a shame☹️

Hi,good advice from previous post,if the conditions are right you will catch barbel just depends on water temp on the day, any stretch from Bewdley to Bridgnorth.
If you're after roach try ribbesford baa stretch below Bewdley,river is a bit more steady if there's a bit of water on, best of luck on your visit

Hi,I'm local to the stour living in stourbridge so I've fished this stretch a lot, hate to say otters are on this stretch like a lot of the stour and the roach fishing is not what it used to be,far fewer fish than say 5years ago,best chub swims are below the weir roach,perch & hybrids above,
I have heard reports of barbel on this stretch so who knows?
