Fishing at blackstone last weekend spotted my first otter on Severn.Just wondering if anyone else has seen them in that area.

Went there last Friday.I spoke to someone already fishing he said he had lost 2 probably barbel.He was using meat for bait,I fished further up stream only managed a small chub.River was just about fishable hope this helps

Never like to see barbel keep in keepnets. Just my opinion especially in the warmer weather seen to many dead fish fishing the Trent many years ago and that has stayed with me.

I've been using kamasan hooks for a number of years now. They are cheap and for the price they are good hooks I've landed double figure barbel without no problems. The pattern i use are the animal barbless eyed hooks and come in various sizes hope this helps.

The padlock for the gate will not open had to dismantle the chain to leave.
