Mini 20 Worc/Bham 46-47 19/05/18

1st M.Stewart / M Imrie 5lb 3oz (both)
3rd D Evans 4lb 14oz
4th A Lacey 3lb 10oz

There were a few skimmers caught on what was a busy day for boats and people traffic.
Most consider this to be a very fair venue as the fish come from all along this stretch, from any of the pegs.

Mini 20 AC Wick 14/04/18 Bri. 60 - 61 Alvechurch

1. M. Imrie 3lb 2oz
2. K. Jones 2lb 14oz
3. M. Stewart 2lb 12oz
1. D. Evans 2lb 9oz

Most people put a couple of pounds on the scales. Punch caught roach was the best option with a few skimmers. The tow path has been improved here so lots of walkers, some with push chairs. A steady flow of boats also meant it wasn't the easiest of matches. A warm, dry sunny day.

Re: The Avon

Fished a match at Wick on Saturday and it was a waste of time. Only 1 person out of 10 caught.
Levels are a little lower today but we were on a rising river. I had to retreat back in my peg several times.

Re: Halesowen RBL match on the Staffs canal at Kinver 25/2/18

Ollie, I have observed good returns from your previous outings on this stretch. I even did a recce but noticed the limited parking. I did wonder how 18 of you managed to get anywhere near the bridge, so that explains it. It is a venue that we have considered. That is interesting regarding the colour. The pike are probably plentiful as there is a healthy stock of silvers. Last year we had poor matches at both Stewpony and Caunsal. May have to do a well planned car share as we typically get around 9 or 10 turn out for canal matches. Thanks for the info.

That is tough going Ollie. Great turn out though. Are you parking at the pub? The roadside option looks pretty limited. Cheers.
