river level

Hi For anyone local to the WA anywhere from Wasperton to Fladbury, is the river still in the banks or has it, is it over. Might go up but dont want to find its unfishable after driving 100+miles. Not worried if its chucking it through and high just whether the banks are fishable. thanks

Re: Where are the barbel and how do I catch them?

hi mate there are no real differences, use a lead to find depths holes, gravel silt etc personally . i normally use the lead fishing fot barbel. whatever worked before on the rivers will largely work on BAA waters

Re: 4x4 wrecking machines!!

its not simply the fact they are 4 x 4 its the way they get driven, as you say Wasperton has some big ruts, some of which were caused by a range rover revving life crazy and going faster than was really required cutting huge ruts. The cost to dhardcore places like that would be massive, as with Fladbury etc. Maybe the answer is to ban all cars after prolonged wet spells with just a hardcore parking area. Bit of a pain when like me your getting old and arthritic.

Re: NIght Fishing Permits

what i would like to to see as i have around a 2 hour drive to the nearest venues for me is something like RDAA do which is for a number of waters they have a 9 pm or 1 hour after sunset, whichever is latest. That allows for fishing in to the dark during the late autumn, winter and spring. When in theory Barbel are at their biggest, wont make any difference in the summer but then personally that isnt a problem for me.
