My first year back on the rivers after forty years has been fantastic. I have loved every minute of every trip to the BAA waters. I carry my Dads last BAA membership card from 1984 (see photo) with me in my tackle box.

Re: Happy ChristmasThanks Hadden, and a belated Happy Christmas to you. Also, may I thank all the bailiffs, bank-workers, office staff and committee, for keeping us all fishing, and all the members who are so friendly to we pensioner members. I was taught fishing by my late father in a mucky oily canal back in 1961, when to catch anything, even a five inch perch, was an achievement, but it was sufficient to get me started. I'm still learning and my sentiment is "If only I knew then what I know now, what a difference that would have made"
