Re: whats the hells...........................

No Keith .. the dick heads are still amongst us. but what you achieved in started this club of yours was to wean out some of the chaff and congregate some of the good people ... now the keyboard worriers are the minority and can see all the nice positive attitude that can be had with a little give and take..
But trust me they will be back , as time goes by and we go from strength to strength there will be 1 or 2 jealous remarks from someone ... but we are all big enough to shrug that off..
in all my years on the fishing circuit iv met thousands of anglers. from all walks of life and iv found 98% are the salt of the earth.. but there is always someone who wants to piss on your chips..
well F##K em ...they can sod off , we are too busy enjoying what we have .

Blue Ball AC B/W Canal bridge 31 12/11/23

Well after a hard day on the 11th at bridge 41 with the forum danglers we wasn't expecting much
the weather was cold but no frost but it was pissing down. all day ..
on Saturday we danglers had no boats at all . however on Sunday we had a total of 7 in our 5 hours ,, and as its a shallow section to say they stirred it up is a understatement.. and for some reason it just didn't settle like normal.. it was like fishing in coco ..
Due to such heavy rain i never got chance to take a picture of the score board ( i was in to much of a rush getting to the warm & dry Boat & Railway).
But here are the results as i remember them...
i have asked for a copy of the board.. when i get it ill edit any diffs...

1st BIN chris wedgbrow 8oz 8 perch chopped worm track
2nd Andy wedgbrow =3oz 5 perch worm far shelf
3rd john dalloway 2oz 8
4th joint stew whitall
paul mason 2oz
6th glyn pricehunt 1oz

DNW David Lloyd
DNW Charlie Abbey
DNW Paul wedgbrow

so as you can see not the best days fishing ..

but a lovely looking stretch of water ....i will return in better weather ...

Re: b.a.a. forum d’anglers AC - Issac Walton Plate - to be presented to the 2023 Contests Aggregate Winner

My feelings are divided.. on one side im sadden that this year as come to a end as i have really enjoyed it throughout . both the fishing and all the company... but as we all know ....all good things come to a end ......
On the other side of the coin im really happy that i took part in all the matches and learnt a little bit of something from each of them, whether it be about the fishing or the gentlemen taking part.. another thing im happy about is the fact we have the dates and venues for next year, so we can do it all again. (something to look forward too ).
All this would not of been possible if it wasn't for our leader RES REG..having been dropped in at the deep end at the start of the year he managed to keep both himself and the club afloat , even down to all the phone calls ,,emails ,,messages.. to make sure we can keep on fishing next year...

Stirling work REG.. . Im sure i speak on behalf of all the danglers ... thankyou for your commitment and time ....
Please ..KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

Re: b.a.a. forum d’anglers AC - Contest #5 B-W Canal Br42-43 on Sat 11th Nov - updated 6th NOV

that address is correct .. i was there again last Sunday 5th nov.. i spoke to the gaffer again and he told me that the gate will be closed (BUT NOT LOCKED) at the times we arrive.. he said just open it yourself... well im guessing that as im normally the first to arrive. so ill open it for you and park by the canal access....

see you all on Saturday for our 5th and final outing ..
it will be the end of the first year of the FORUM D'ANGLERS AC... and what a great success it has been too..
