Not fished it for a few years now. It did produce a couple of very big barbel last year and ive known it produce some big bags of bream. Last time I fished it I kept losing end tackle to zander. Also some big carp and used to be a resident ghosty in the lock cutting off the end of the island.
Not sure what the parking is now dont think you can park along the lane to the cottages anymore as there was a problem a few years back. Have heard you can park by the bridge but have to pay be good if someone can confirm this and the parking for holt fleet

I pray and wait that something may happen with the chalton chropthorne stretch. Bob if you just want a few fish wick aint fished to bad whenever ive been for silvers skimmers and some monster perch. Johnny have you fished the chalton chropthorne stretch much and tapped into the barbel yet?
