Re: a decent day on the jig heads on the cut

Below is a snippet from the Canal and River Trust website.

---------------------------------------------------
Can I return a zander to the canal?

As the law stands, it is illegal to return a zander or any other non-native fish species to the canal network. This is set out in the terms and conditions of our KIFR permits.

You are allowed to take zander, and other fish species classified by DEFRA as non-native, for the pot.

So the answer to the question by DavidH is YES!

Re: Lock codes

Not the brightest thing to put the code on a forum for all to see.

Stewpar, I think you should edit the number out!!!!!

Re: £200 plus for a days fishing - Are you mad?

Show me where I told anyone when and/or where they could go fishing.

OK, this is my last post on this subject so I will let you two lovebirds to get on with it.

Aka fishychris and Mr Care.

Re: £200 plus for a days fishing - Are you mad?

Nothing directly to do with fishing more how bad Covid can be.

My son has a works colleague whos family, (about 12 of them), non showing any signs of the virus, decided to get together over Christmas.

Within a few days all, yes all of them went down with Covid.
So at least one of them was a carrier.
Unfortunately, two of them have since died of a Covid related infection.
The grand father and his son.

Covid is not a thing to be treated lightly, the rules are there for our own protection.
So don't be a ''dickhead'' look after yourselves, social distance, wear a mask in the tackle shop etc.
As Delboy used to say, ''you know it makes sense''.

Re: £200 plus for a days fishing - Are you mad?

Bullying! What on earth are you babbling about?

If someone does not agree with your long winded opinions you you think are being bullied, come on, grow-up man.

I will now answer at least one of your latest questions concerning the following:-

''Back to the bit where you provide evidence to back up your claims. Are you going to do this at any point? I'm still keen to know where you got the specifics of your 'doesn't need to be in the same direction' claim. So far all of your claims are unsubstantiated, whilst mine are pretty well proven''.

I will take small villages, which have been shown as an example and defined as a local area.
There is a pond on one side of the village you are allowed to fish.
There is an angler living in the village with the ''I don't give a monkey's attitude to the stay local rule'' decides to go to another lake 15 miles away. in the opposite direction.
Do you really believe they could think of any reasonable excuse if stopped by a copper that he/she were abiding by the stay local rule.
I very much doubt it!
It can work exactly the same in any large city, a copper only has to check how far you have travelled (it is so easy for them today, it takes seconds) and if he/she (not you or I) considers it as too far to be local, then it's likely to be a ''go back home mate'' or a fine.

One last point, or two from me and I am finished.

You have continually rejected the idea that there is any set distance, so how come you state the following:-

I.e. ''travelling 20 miles to fish your nearest stillwater is fine, travelling 20yards to have a picnic is not''.
Where did you access the info that states it is OK to travel 20 miles?

PS. Having a picnic has nothing to do with the exercise ruling!

PPS. Trying to say what I or any other member should start as a discussion shows quite a bit of arrogance.
Do we have to get your permission in future to start a new discussion?

PPPS. ''But I double dare anybody to tell me what I'm going to do tomorrow is unacceptable''

Now that really shows how arrogant a person you are

PPPPS. Sorry to hear about your friend, I can only wish him all-the-best.
