Re: Bailiffing

HIS exact words were I have the right to confiscate tackle if I wish too , I don't like to do it but I will use it if need be . he never mentioned confiscating my tackle as he would ended up in river .
but he was stateing the fact he had the right to do it .
the 40 pound was quoted to me by another baliff ,an said that's why there out hounding normal anglers purely for the money gain .

Re: Bailiffing

I shall be reporting this rob gil baliff l to john Williams for saying has right to confiscate tackle and having a dog on baa waters , he really does have a chip on his shoulder!!!!!!
CLEARLY states in baa rules no dogs how can you have a baa baliff preaching the rules when he clearly breaks them himself the mans a total joke !!!!!!!!!

Re: Bailiffing

flint if your prepared to pay an extra 10 pound night even though your a baa member I say more fool you , commonsense means baliffs being flexible , an hour fishing into dark is hardly night fishing , the most productive time for barbell is hour before an after dark .
we all now who the hitler baliffs are all I can say is they have little better to do , an should not be harassing genuine anglers

Re: Bailiffing

JUST for record when they come on night they call it night baliffing an I was told by baliff they each get 40 pound night .
one baliff told me in afternoon he has the right to confiscate tackle which he certainly has not , his name is rob gil , an he even brought a black dog with him , I pointed out to him dogs are against rules on baa waters , he replied theres a public right of way along riverbank . does that mean we can reel in , an sit on a public right of way unmolested , is this a loop hole , the severn way is nothing to do with the baa ???
im in numerous other clubs an have never known such horrible baliffs to be totally honest who do not exercise commonsense at all .
an why should we pay 10 pound night extra any way ?? what the baa pay to lease the water is the same whether allow night fishing or not !!!!!!!!!!

Re: Shrewsbury BAA fishery i:e Underdale

no offence meant but I get frustrated when anglers cant leave things be , what with all the commercial carp fisheries , an the demise of mixed fisheries , due to carp overstockings .
I would have thought if you are lucky to find an unspoilt peace of water , untouched it would be wise an commonsense , to keep it quiet an just enjoy it , if the baa have neglected it then all the better for the few that do fish these forgotton places , these are the type of waters that specimen anglers thrive for , not to highlight them .
