Re: Retreat Farm Pools Closed

Reading the press release suggests the treatment has to be done in the winter, so it will be several months before any progress can be made.

Re: Retreat Farm Pools Closed

For the river, park on the grass to the side of the track by your chosen spot. You can drive further up through the gate which accesses pool 3 (empty). There is a "no cars past this point" sign a fair bit up. The sign in my photo is/was across the track where you turn left to pools 1 & 2.

Retreat Farm Pools Closed

Drove some 30 miles to Retreat today only to be greeted by the notice in photo. Phoned the number and was told, closed indefinitely on the advice of the environment agency, couldn`t get a more specific reason.

Re: The River Teme

I have a relation that fishes a stretch between Eastham and Tenbury (not B.A.A.) most weekends. He always reports hardly any Barbel, typically 1 or 2 a year, the predominant species being Trout to 2lb and Grayling to about 1 1/4lb. Also he spots the odd Salmon.
