Re: Fluff chucking on the River TemeI've had the same problem in the past. The fly life on the Teme is absolutely prolific, not only are there good hatches of mays but olives and the like can come off in clouds as well; just because mays are in the air doesn't mean the trout have switched on to them; I've had days when you can barely move for mayfly but the trout won't take any may pattern I've offered them because they're preoccupied with something else.

Re: Dyofix blueGlen, I agree with you; as I commented on the FB page when it was announced, the use of Dyofix feels like a sledgehammer being used to crack a nut, particularly in the case of Uckinghall which is the pond I have most experience of. I would have thought that it would have been better to simply drag out swims once the lilies are up, rather than try and kill them all off, thus removing habitat for invertebrates and food/spawning cover for fish (and somewhere to hide from the many cormorants that pay regular visits on their way up and down the Severn).

Re: Aberbechan Upper SevernChub, dace, grayling and trout mainly (and salmon parr). River needs a bit of colour to fish absolutely at its best. Very pretty stretch of river. Tight lines if you give it a go.
