Newhalls access So there is a message that you can no longer park easily at Stourport due to the car park closure. Are there any alternative places to park or is this venue now off the agenda for us as a club? Its a shame there is not a bit more info? We have this place booked for matches so where do we stand now? It can be an excellent winter venue with superb roach fishing. Posted on October 08, 2016 at 11:17 AM
Re: Mini 20 AC 24/09/16 Wick, River Avon. Dave, we did mostly park by the wooden bridge that you describe. However, one of our older members had a mobility issue. He managed to navigate his way to the upstream pegs by following a track around the perimeter of the field, so he had very little to walk. There are plenty of pegs below the weir and some good ones too. After the wooden bridge go immediately left to the river. Stick or pole on the inside and you can often put 10lb of silvers in the net.
