Re: Stacklands new Wye fishery

Evening Ladies and Gentlemen.

I am one of the Bailiffs allocated to this fishery. I've been down to the swim every evening for the last fortnight and have to say the river is looking in great nick. (I've also been pre-baiting a swim so no jumping in it please! smiling )

A reminder to everyone that the field is used by a local farmer, there are currently sheep grazing in it, so PLEASE ensure that the gate is shut and secure, drive only on the track directly to the parking area next to the Salmon hut, absolutely no cars on the bank. There are nesting Sand Martins in the high bank so please be aware when walking the banks and try not to disturb them too much.

I will be at the fishery all day on Tuesday and in the evening for rest of the week, my colleague will be patrolling at other times.

Please make sure you have your membership cards for us to check. I take a zero tolerance view on litter, there is absolutely no excuse for it, please take it home with you, this is an outstanding stretch of water in stunning surroundings, lets please keep it that way. Please do no enter the fishery until an hour before sunrise at 3.44am, there is no night fishing allowed at the fishery and there are no day permits available. Strictly members only.

As previously mentioned pegs have been cut out but it is pretty wild still. Some of the banks are steep so please be careful.

Look forward to seeing you on the bank. Tight lines everyone.
