Re: Was I wrong? Hi Chris, looks like you’ve seen for yourself what’s going on in general on the banks. Not sure what the answer is I fully agree that the bailiffs can only cover a certain amount if bank and think they should be at least “2 up” especially in evenings going into dusk. As a slight aside (and I don’t mean to go off topic) but is there too much information on the open web site that is visible to all and sundry ie detailed location maps etc. I have always thought that most of the detailed information should only be accessible by paid up members - bit like closing the stable door…..though now. At a guess I would suggest that 99% of offenders are well aware that they are fishing “illegally” but will claim not to understand. Posted on July 25, 2021 at 7:16 PM
Re: Barbel Fishing in Extreme Temperatures Unfortunately you only have to see some of the photos and read some of the comments on the Facebook pages, some people have some very high and mighty ideas regarding barbel fishing. Re: a decent day on the jig heads on the cut Whilst I have been following this thread with interest, I have now lost what is being discussed ! Is it the wording and understanding of guidance or the wish for some that Zander are removed ? After reading the link posted by JW it seems to read that Zander can be legally released if caught but can be controlled if their numbers become a problem to the fishery owner. Legal or illegal, morally or immoral why would any angler wish to remove any fish caught in the belief that to remove the odd few fish will make any difference to numbers now present, (unless maybe on a small pool).
