Re: Footbridges

For the sake of my image, I’ve Been looking into buying an electric barrow but thought it maybe a bit over the top,
and a bit difficult to get over styles and fences. Anyway decided against the electric version in favour of this bad boy - the read up says fences and styles are no problem as are other other anglers who may think it ridiculous that I use a barrow. Just hope there is enough room on board for my flask bait boat and deeper.

Oh and back to the original subject of this post, could I request the footbridges are reinforced !!

Joking apart, there seems to be a lot of posts recently slating the BAA for the apparent state of banks and pegs, as a pleasure angler I wouldn’t have it any other way, but each to their own.

Back to my new barrow, think I will need a 4x4 and trailer now to get it to my favoured venue -maybe not such a good idea, hope I can get a refund

Re: Footbridges

Onelastcast, Why do you think you have any right to call a persons choice to use a barrow ridiculous ? Like I’ve said previously each to their own.
I class myself as fairly fit for an older guy but if a barrow makes my life easier I will use one, may even look out for an electric one now you mention it.
If someone spends a fortune on tackle and blanks so what - all the gear no idea springs to mind. I hope you explained to the angler with all the gear and 3 rods he should only use 2 !!

Re: Footbridges

100% agree with JC

I also believe that angling is one of the few sports that success is not solely down to the amount of money you spend on gear

Re: Footbridges

Even predominantly as a pleasure river angler, if I’ve got even a modest walk I take a small barrow. Surely it’s up to the individual as what they decide to carry and how to carry it. Don’t class myself as a “tackle tart” but it’s up to me what’s in or on my barrow.

Nothing to do with anyone else - each to their own

Re: So, are there any fish left in Retreat Farm

Nice looking fish, would suggest the fish care leaves much to be desired though
