Re: Fantasy fishing this weekend?

Agree Stu, few about on the Black Country canals.
I’ll stick to flicking a line over the fence into next doors pond, bit of a nightmare try to land his biggest goldfish though.

Re: maps

In a lot of cases it’s best to take time and have a visit to many as many sections as you can, most of the access instructions make more sense when you are at the location.

Re: Bailiffs and their behaviour

Firstly, I renewed my membership on 1st Jan and it was with me within 48hrs thanks to BAA admin an excellent turnaround.
Personally I think the reported Facebook post needs to be taken with a pinch of salt, I have never had any issues with any BAA bailiff I have met and would be confident at this time of year copy of the renewal email would be accepted by a BAA bailiff.
Again my personal opinion, I cannot see an issue with a bailiff being accompanied by a well behaved dog (as long as their nose is kept out of my bait box !) After all there are many sections of BAA banks that are public dog walking routes - official or not.

Re: Trying To Find and Fish the River Mease.

Sounds like this section may be best suited to Autumn and Winter fishing.

The BAA needs to keep these small river venues as well all of the other venues we have in order to please all members, whether it’s wild rivers, canals, pools and of course the Severn, Wye and Avon. Some venues are as said above seasonal. At this time of year high vegetation growth is expected on all rivers.
Still great value for money for the choice of locations we have.
