Re: Parking Arley right bank

Last time I fished RB was about 3 years ago, I believe the parking is free in the BAA section of the car park but a £3 charge was applied then to park in the field alongside the river. If I remember correctly the gentleman who sat on the gate taking money was a BAA bailiff as he asked to check my membership on entry to save him walking to me when fishing to check.

Re: Breaking lock down rules ?

There’s no such thing as ‘bad beer’ just that some beer is better than other beer

It’s down to the individual to decide..........

Re: £200 plus for a days fishing - Are you m

I have read this and the previous post with interest. Some posts I agree with and others not, hopefully our resident legal eagle can clarify a couple of points:

Although the distance people can travel seems to be a very grey area to say the least, and I agree with the reason and how and where you travel to has a big impact , so common sense has to prevale as Chris has stated above.

With distance in mind why has the government issued an instruction only to travel when absolutely necessary including the following reasons, work, essential food shopping, medical reasons and probably more.

Is there a limit on travel for ‘Exercise’ for which fishing is included - personally the only exercise I get when fishing is carrying my gear to a peg - maybe 5 yards or 200yards ! I can get better exercise walking round the block !

Personally I have not travelled outside my very local area to fish and although not on my favoured middle Severn I have had some decent days in places not fished since childhood and have been well worth revisiting.

To me privately people need to ask themselves regardless of what is law what is not and what falls within the grey areas, are my actions, journeys, and reasons morally acceptable during this very difficult time, and how will other people react to my actions.

What ever you do stay safe and look forward to better times.
