Re: BAA membership prices

Why not use the membership mailing list and do some marketing to see what would be an acceptable increase for a yearly cost. I’m a pensioner now but I would be more than happy to pay £60-£80 per year to get better pegs. I know on the rivers nature dictates. But I have checked out most venues and in some venues 80% of the pegs are a bust. But with platforms would be perfectly fish able

Happy Christmas

My first year back on the rivers after forty years has been fantastic. I have loved every minute of every trip to the BAA waters. I carry my Dads last BAA membership card from 1984 (see photo) with me in my tackle box.
He taught me to fish on the river Wye during the sixties when i was about 8 years old. I cannot believe all that time has passed and i am now a pensioner like he was and still fishing. I don't know how many years i have left on the banks, but i am going to enjoy every trip i make.
Lets hope next year brings more fish to all our hooks.

Happy Christmas and New Year to all members and staff.

Re: Unidentified fish

I must have been about 10 last time I caught a minnow. But thanks for identifying it. I would never have remembered what a minnow looked like.

Unidentified fish

Getting back on the rivers after forty years has been a complete joy. I'm amazed at how much i have remembered, and fascinated by the changes in tackle and baits. I have caught some big river bream, my first ever big barbel, and been back on my favourite river - the Wye which still brings net fulls of Dace & chub and now small Barbel, but sadly not so many roach as i remember. One fish i have caught on the Wye is a mystery to me, i have no idea what it is, can anyone identify it from the attached picture.
Thanks

Re: Fladbury Access

You can get down the track but don’t go down the banks unless you have a bloody good 4x4. I got stuck fast last week
