Re: Car park at stackllands

River is in good knock. Field still waterlogged and the gate locked. Doubtful it’ll be opened again this season

Re: Car park at stackllands

Just a heads up that the river has shot up again. Field still very waterlogged and the banks dangerous. Take care if heading out and keep a close eye on the gauges.

Re: Bailiffs and their behaviour

We're advised not to take dogs with us when doing bailiff duties, nevermind threaten anglers with them! I'll be amazed if it was a BAA bailiff that did this if it indeed happened.

Re: Bailiffs and their behaviour

The rules are made by the BAA not the bailiffs. Like I said, the easiest way to identify a BAA bailiff is to ask to see their bailiff card that has a photo of them on it. Has the angler made a formal complaint to BAA rather than posting on Facebook?

Re: Bailiffs and their behaviour

The email clearly states not to go fishing until the card has arrived. We bailiffs are encouraged to use our disgression however, I’ve had a couple of anglers on the bank with the email but no card, there has been no one else fishing and it’s a long way to come to Stacklands so I have advised the angler and then allowed them to fish, if the place was busy then I’d have to re-think that. There is absolutely no excuse for abusive behaviour on either side. I carry ID with me at all times and always show my bailiff card.
